About the project

The project "Test Green Nests" will gather youngsters from Hungary, Czech Republic, Italy, Latvia, Germany and Austria, who are enthusiastic to try out and study the "green nests" - sustainable buildings, such as straw-bale and adobe houses, passive houses or yurts.
They will give each other a theoretical overview about sustainable architecture. By visiting several sustainable houses in Hungary, the participants will also gain personal experience, how living in such ecologically friendly buildings influences the everyday life of its inhabitants. The third aim is to learn the basic techniques and try them during practical workshops.

The youth exchange project will take place in Hungary, from 6th to 15th August 2011.
We are gonna see the sustainable houses BY OUR EYES, talk to people living in them and listen to their life stories, try to build something BY OUR HANDS, and meet each other BY OUR HEARTS!
All this during fruitful Hungarian summer!
